About Rapatac Activity Center
Rapatac operates two dynamic Activity Centers for children and young people aged 6-19, located in Gävle and Sandviken, Sweden. These centers provide a broad range of activities, including:
- Academic support (e.g., schoolwork and reading)
- Technology
- Music and arts
- Physical activities
As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the lives of young people by leading activities in areas you’re passionate about—or even exploring new interests! This is a 12-month opportunity for long-term volunteers looking to make a meaningful impact.
What’s Provided?
- Accommodation: Volunteers will stay in a shared apartment in either Gävle or Sandviken, with a private room and storage.
- Transportation: Bicycles or bus cards will be provided for commuting to the Activity Centers.
- Monthly Allowance: Volunteers will receive pocket money along with a stipend for food expenses.
- Work Schedule: Working hours are primarily in the afternoons and evenings, Monday to Friday.
Training Opportunities
Volunteers will participate in project-specific training sessions organized by the National Agency in Stockholm. These include:
- On-Arrival Training
- Midterm Training
